Well, we made it! The year 2020 has been one for the books.
Unprecedented that’s for sure! In spite of the chaos, I’m happy to say that it hasn’t all been bad. In fact, we’ve seen some positive financial trends this year which have helped propel our clients:
Moving on up - quarantine has allowed a lot of us to think long and hard about our priorities. As a result, we’ve seen all sorts of moves this year. Numerous clients have moved cross country to be closer to family while others have pulled the trigger on their “forever homes” a little sooner than expected. The comfort of knowing that these big-ticket moves are financially feasible has given our clients one less thing to stress about.
Time for a Change - Whether unexpected or completely planned we’ve seen a lot of job changes this year. The range of transitions has been dramatic, but in all cases, we’ve found that feeling a little confident in your finances goes a long way. By assessing our clients’ situations we’ve been able to help some of them decide to start businesses, stay at home with their kids, and move on to a position that makes them happier.
COVID Budgets - Would you believe that staying home not only saves lives but also saves money? We’re seeing all sorts of shifts in spending amongst our clients, like decreased transportation costs, dining out, and entertainment. While we all hope that things will eventually go back to normal, we’re finding that taking advantage of these shifts has been a great opportunity to accelerate the progress towards our clients’ financial goals.
Through helping our clients propel themselves financially Merino Wealth has propelled to the next level as a company. During this challenging time for small businesses, I’m incredibly thankful to say that we’ve had our best year yet and we are continuing to grow! #Blessed
